Why the X-Factor is a load of Shit

My main gripe with the X-Factor is that to win it you don’t need to have the mystical X-Factor. You just need to be a good singer. To me, the term X-Factor means they have something special that separates them from ‘ordinary folks’ and seeing as this is a singing competition I think that special something should be gift of being an excellent performer and this should surely include charisma, stage presence, sex appeal……and if you are slightly above average at holding a note then even better!

Let’s take a look at previous winners who supposedly have this special gift:

Steve Brookstein, Shayne Ward & Leon Jackson: Average singers, zero stage presence or personality.

Leona Lewis & Joe McElderry: Great singers but do they have any personality whatsoever?

Alexandra Burke: Now we are getting someone. Not an amazing singer but she is fun, has decent stage presence and is fit!!!!  I would never buy anything she does but she’s a worthy winner.

I'd now like to put some name's to you and have a think of how they would do if they entered the X-Factor as an unknow. Elvis Presley, Mick Jagger, Ozzy Osbourne, Axl Rose, Jon Bon Jovi, Steven Tyler and Robbie Williams (even though I’m not a fan).

How many of these would actually get to Boot Camp, let alone have a chance of winning?

Elvis Presley – Would make it to the live shows but doubt he’d get anywhere near winning.

Mick Jagger – Great singer, great performer but wouldn’t even get through the auditions. He’d probably get laughed off!

Ozzy Osbourne – One of the most famous front man worldwide…..again…….wouldn’t make it through Boot Camp

Axl Rose – my favourite singer of all time. Can belt out gentle ballad or hard rockin’ songs as good, if not better than anyone. Singer of one of the biggest bands of all time. Oozes stage presence, charisma and sex appeal. He’s make it to Boot Camp but would he get any further??

Jon Bon Jovi – I think Jon would be good enough to certainly come close to winning X-Factor. He has an excellent voice. Anyone who’s heard Livin’ On a Prayer knows this, which is erm….well…everyone!!!

Steven Tyler – The Aerosmith singer is a great vocalist and amazing front man. Wouldn’t make it out of Boot Camp. He has the X-Factor and then some!!

As for Robbie, I don’t think I need to put video evidence up! In the X-factor he’d do well but I doubt he’d win.

Another major factor is the judges. Well, when I say judges I actually mean "bunch of useless fuckwits". Dannii Minogue? Cheryl Cole? (Ok, she's mega fit), Louie Walsh? I mean......come on..............!!!
So there we have it: The X-Factor is shit and the entire premise is a load of bollocks! :)
